Linkin Park Signed Guitars in Charity Auction

Linkin Park and Green Day handed over signed guitars to the US housing charity. Linkin Park signed an Epiphone axe the Green Day stars Billie Joe Armstrong, Tree Cool and Mike Dimt autographed a black and cherry electric guitar for donating it to the Charity Buzz auction. Both the bands would be donating the proceeds from the sale of the guitars to the non-profit organization for building houses.

The Habitat for Humanity would be providing housing facilities and upgrading the local shelters to the needy people. Earlier this month, a joint project between the rock band Linkin Park and Sauber driver Kamui Kobayashi had raised $19,000 by donating a helmet with which Kobayashi had raced at the 2011 season final in Sao Paulo. The revenue collected from the online auction was given for Japanese aid to the charity organization ‘Music for Relief’ which was initiated by Linkin Park.

Meanwhile, Linkin Park, The Cure and The Naked and Famous were set to feature on the soundtrack of the new movie Underworld: Awakening.

Linkin Park had spent most of the 2011 in touring. The illness of the co-lead singer Chester Bennigton of Linkin Park, it was spotted as the top attack and injuries stories of 2011. By the end of the year, Linkin Park fans had some good news. Chester was recovering and was ready to be back on track. After the cancellation and postponing of several of their shows due to the illness of the co-lead singer, Linkin Park will be resuming its tour of ‘A thousand suns’ world tour at the MGM Grand at Las Vegas on Saturday 19th February. The co-lead lead singer Bennington was hospitalized during the last week of December due to viral infection and complications from the treatment.

After a week of hospitalization, he was permitted by his physician to return to the stage.
