Shinoda went there in January on the 3 year anniversary of the Port-au-Prince quake. Still, there is much to do to serve get Haiti’s largest town back to where this once was. Haiti was also in the same path of Hurricane Sandy that ravaged the United states’ East Coast previous fall.

The trip’s first stop was to Cholera Treatment Center in Carrefour. In the video, Mike Shinoda tells, “Hurricane Sandy was not just a storm that affected the United States. It hit here and the damage from Hurricane Sandy increased the spread of Cholera.” This disease was a huge problem before Hurricane Sandy, but now it has hit epidemic proportions. Music for Relief has now collaborated with a nearby organization to serve in the treatment of those who are suffering in Sandy’s aftermath.

Mike told that their business is based here in Haiti. It is not a charity and it is providing people with real income and jobs. It is sustainable and it is scalable. A whole lot of the people who live here and they could not afford school and are untrained to a large degree so to give people a way to earn a living is one of the focuses of SRS.

While speaking to a leading magazine, Mike Shinoda told that there was a time when his band as well as the crew, mainly the crew members used to have a favourite prank. Sometime, in the middle of the night they would remove all furniture from someone’s room and do something with it.

The crew members would either keep it all in elevator, so when the doors are opened almost everything would be there, something like something out of a cartoon. At times, they would wait till one of the members in the crew got really drunk, remove the furniture, and set those things outside the hotel in same positions like earlier. They would move the guy at times as well. Therefore when he woke up with all the furniture in the same place but with no walls, and he would be looking everywhere, thinking what the hell was going on.

Shinoda has also been involved in this kind of pranks with the other band members. He talked about the incident he managed to lose my entire band in Tokyo, Japan. I sat down on the kerb while drinking, and the next thing he know that he woke up up again at 4 am on his own in the back streets of Tokyo.

This concert will be held at one of the finest destination, Planet Hollywood. Planet Hollywood is one of the largest auditorium comprising 7,000 seats. The auditorium has hosted several shows and the venue is also the site for several internationally televised events and also industrial and corporate events.

After a busy 2012, the band decided to have a relaxing year ahead. They will be starting their new year with the concert. But they will perform only on one show which will be on February 16.

The announcement was made after the band wraps up a jam packed 2012, the year that saw the release of the band’s latest studio album Living Things. They also travel throughout North America for the Honda Civic Tour along with the fellow rockers Incunbus.

Last weekend the band performed at Los Angeles radio station KROQ’s 23rd Annual Almost Acoustic Christmas”. In an interview with a news channel before the show started, Chester Bennington said about his first ever encounter with none other than Gene Simmons. He started that the first time when he met Gene he was like Whoa, that’s Gene Simmons.

Bennington went over and introduced himself and he grab him to his shoulder and praised Bennington by saying that he is a powerful as well as talented young man. Bennington also added that Simmons was staring at him, at his eyes and said that if he were in prison, he would have been taught to make love to him and Bennington was like Ok.

Mike Shinoda in an interview to the Playbook revealed that in a TV interview the athletes do not expose themselves fully as they know that cameras are on them and the entire world is watching them. So they tend to get a bit self conscious. But when it comes to social media, the athletes express themselves better and that brings out a different part of their personality. Mike believed that some of the athletes could be music fans so he wanted to extend a friendly gesture by inviting them to his show.

Currently things are sunny for Linkin Park as their latest CD named “Living Things” have been well received by the audience and has scored a few hits as well. The band is getting ready for the next part of the world tour. Currently Linkin Park is engaged in various social projects that handle environmental issues. Music for Relief and Power the World are two such projects.
